Hospidex and Innomediq join forces to increase their expertise in supporting Belgian hospitals and healthcare institutions with innovative and connected solutions
23 June 2023

Innomediq is an independent distributor of medical equipment mainly for hospitals. Its range includes patient monitoring systems, defibrillators, infusion pumps, operating tables, ventilators and various ancillary systems. As an exclusive partner of Mindray, Innomediq builds on innovative technologies developed by Mindray in its international R&D centers. In addition, Innomediq enjoys the flexibility to enter into partnerships with software experts and innovative technology companies globally due to its position as an independent player. This enables Innomediq to develop smart concepts that provide solutions to industry challenges.

Mindray's medical devices and software are interconnected: they communicate with each other, with the hospital information system and with the patient record through a platform of virtual components. This creates an ecosystem of clinical intelligence with an explosion of possibilities and added value for the hospital. The collected data is made more insightful and can be intelligently used e.g. for medical analysis and diagnostics. In addition to the wide range of solutions, Innomediq offers 24/7 local support with an extensive team of experts.

Francis Gielen (CEO) and Hendrik Seghers (Strategic Partnership Manager and founder) are delighted that Innomediq becomes a part of the Hospidex family. "With Hospidex, we introduce innovative healthcare solutions, both conventional and high-tech, that contribute to a more performant care for patients and thereby improve the quality of care. Innomediq fits completely into this philosophy. The addition of Innomediq to the Hospidex group reinforces our presence on the Belgian market."

Yves Pauwels and Jan Van den Bergh remain active as Directors of Innomediq and join as shareholders in the Hospidex group. They are excited about the growth prospects: "As part of Hospidex, we can further deepen and expand the offering for our customers in hospitals and healthcare institutions in Belgium. Our product portfolios are highly complementary. By joining a larger group, we can further increase our presence in the market and can further professionalize our organization."

Bart Cauberghe (Managing Partner Smile Invest) adds: “After our investment in 2021, Innomediq is the second addition to the Hospidex group following the acquisition of NC Medical. With Hospidex, our ambition is to form a strong group led by like-minded entrepreneurial managers to have sufficient clout in the healthcare market with its increasing complexity.”
