Tenten Solar and Lens join forces: strengthening market position in solar energy

Lichtenvoorde-based Tenten Solar and Amsterdam-based Lens have reached an agreement to jointly continue in the PV systems market. For now, this will be done with the retention of both organizations and brands.

Tenten Solar has an important position throughout the Netherlands in the field of advice, supply, installation and maintenance of PV systems. Customers include housing corporations, installation companies, (semi) government institutions, project developers and contractors, architectural firms and consultants, farmers, SMEs and private clients. The company employs over 100 employees and 150 solar partners. The company has offices in Lichtenvoorde, Waalwijk and Bodegraven. Since May 2023, Smile Invest has been the majority shareholder in Tenten Solar.

Lens is also a nationwide full-service "solar partner" focused on development, realization and management of PV systems for residential real estate. The company has a strong position in the market for housing corporations, with about 60 of its own employees and a large number of supporting freelancers. An important asset is the appreciation of customers for the expertise and attention paid to unburdening housing corporations in achieving their sustainability goals through PV.

Synergy advantages at the service of the customer
In the further consolidating market of PV systems, this acquisition creates a significantly stronger market position. Both companies will continue to coexist and will achieve many synergy benefits in terms of joint purchasing, working more efficiently geographically and making better use of the knowledge and expertise present. For employees, there will be more development opportunities and an exchange of specific knowledge and experience. The management of both companies will remain attached to the combined organization.
