MAIT acquires 4ITEGO Group from Smile Invest
4ITEGO Group, a leading provider of engineering software solutions to the manufacturing industry, today announces its acquisition by MAIT Group, a pan-European technology partner for industrial digitalisation. Smile Invest, the current majority shareholder, is exiting its investment as planned following a successful growth phase. The transaction is subject to approval by the relevant antitrust authorities.
4ITEGO Group is an internationally oriented consortium comprising the companies Innoptus, Infinite Simulation Systems and CAD Services who are active in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France. Innoptus and CAD Services are long-standing partners of PTC, possessing in-depth technological expertise in the areas of CAD, CAE, CAM, PLM, SLM and ALM. Infinite is an Elite Channel partner of Ansys with a long track record in advanced simulation solutions.
For MAIT, the acquisition represents a strategic step in its ongoing European expansion. The integration of 4ITEGO Group strengthens MAIT's presence in the Benelux and France and expands its portfolio with additional expertise in the areas of product development, high-end simulation, and digital transformation. Xavier Werbrouck, founder and CTO of 4ITEGO Group, who also holds a stake in the company, will remain with the company following the transaction and will actively help shape its future development within MAIT.
"4ITEGO Group is just like MAIT a proven technology leader with a long-standing, trusting partnership with PTC. The additional long-standing relationship with Ansys and its deep expertise on simulation is a very valuable addition to our portfolio. Above all, however, the people and the spirit are an excellent fit," explains Michael Jäger, member of the Executive Board of MAIT Group. "4ITEGO Group also views this as a strategically important step. I am very much looking forward to our shared future with MAIT”, says Xavier Werbrouck, founder and CTO of 4ITEGO Group. “MAIT and 4ITEGO share the same commitment to thinking about digitalisation in an integrated manner across the entire digital value chain for their customers and ensuring its sustainable implementation. Together with MAIT, we will continue to expand our business in the Benelux and France in a targeted manner." Stefan Niehusmann, CEO of MAIT Group, adds: "We are very confident that we will find a safe haven for all employees in the coming months and successfully integrate the company under the guiding principle of 'One MAIT.'"
Smile Invest has supported 4ITEGO Group through an ambitious growth trajectory, backing the management team as the company deepened its technical expertise, broadened its geographic reach, and strengthened its position as a go-to partner for manufacturers navigating complex digitalisation challenges.
Thomas Dewever and Bart Cauberghe, Partner and Managing Partner at Smile Invest, comment: "We are proud of what 4ITEGO Group and its team have built. The company realized strong organic growth, consolidated its position in the Benelux with the acquisition of CAD Services and started a greenfield expansion in France. 4ITEGO has grown into a genuine leader in engineering solutions such as CAD, PLM, and simulation in the Benelux and France, combining deep technological expertise with a real commitment to helping manufacturers navigate their digital transformation. MAIT stood out as the ideal home for the next chapter: a like-minded technology partner that shares the same customer focus, the same values, and the same long-term ambition. We are confident that 4ITEGO Group is in excellent hands, and we look forward to seeing what the combined team will achieve together."
